Dit Da Jow

Dit Da Jow Liniment can be used for all sorts of pain conditions, arthritis and injuries including bruising, muscle tears, ligament injuries and broken bones. When applied, it can help stop pain and start the healing process. For broken bones and fractures, it is thought to speed the regeneration of bone and surrounding tissues. For those Martial Arts enthusiasts that are undergoing Iron Palm Training the formulation has many similarities with Shattering Palm Iron Palm Jow and thus can be used as an Iron Palm Liniment. This Dit Da Jow can be purchased as the finished item in 100ml     bottles, or for those wanting to make up your own larger volumes 116g and 462g herbal kits are available in raw herb or powdered raw herb form. This will allow you to make 5litres quantities of the Dit Da Jow. The kits come complete with muslin filter cloth, 3 coffee filters and 3 x empty 100ml bottles.

Making your own 462g Dit Da Jow Liniment (4-5 litre) 

Surgical Spirit 40% V/V
Add 2223 ml of Surgical Spirit make to a 5 litre bottle dilute with distilled water mix thoroughly then add to herbs in separate 5 litre glass jar.

Surgical Spirit 24% V/V
Add 1388 ml of Surgical Spirit make to a one 5litre bottle dilute with distilled water mix thoroughly then add to herbs in separate 5 litre glass jar.

It is advised that you dilute with distilled water rather than tap water. The surgical Spirit  and distilled water (apc pure) can be purchased online at apc pure. when using the surgical spirit make sure you multiply the amount of surgical spirit you decide to use by 100/90 as the product already contains up to 10% water. The Dit Da Jow dry herbal kits can be supplied in the following forms

Indications

The actions and indications are similar to those of Ru Xiang. It is reinforced by the combination with Ru Xiang for traumatic injuries, pain due to stagnation and stasis, abscess, deep rooted carbuncle, swelling and pain, ulcerated sore and abscess not healed for a long time and all the pain due to stagnation and stasis.

It has better action of activating blood and resolving stasis, and excels in stopping pain caused by blood stasis. It is much similar to Mu Dan Pi and often combined with this for this purpose as it is in this Dit Da Jow formulation. it is also indicated for treating stagnation due to congealing cold when being combined with meridian-warming and cold-dispelling herbs or blood-activating herbs which are warm in nature such as Gui Zhi, so it can be used to treat both syndrome of blood stasis, traumatic injury with swelling pain and heat

The Effect of Jie Geng (Platycodon)

Property

Bitter, pungent, neutral; lung meridian entered.

Actions

Ventilate lung, dispel phlegm, relieve sore throat, expel pus.

Indications

Raises Lung Qi and Large Intestine Qi. Edema and other cases of sunken qi. Directs the actions of other herbs to the upper body and so will help with fluid build-up and swelling especially in the large intestine and lung channels which receive a lot of damage during conditioning training. Also helps the lung disperse fluids and phlegm after injuries.

The Effect of Zhi Zi (Gardenia Fruit)
