In traditional glass cupping heat is introduced in the cups by inserting a burning object such as cotton wool, herbs, or alcohol. Myofascial Cupping
A more modern approach is to use glass cups and use a small vacuum pump to cause the vacuum inside the cup. This does not give the same warm feeling when the cup is inserted on the skin, this means the cups can be applied much quicker and over a widen area then traditional fire cupping. This more modern technique is referred to as Myofascial Cupping.
